Since 1919, Cold River Camp has offered guests an authentic New England hiking camp experience in the White Mountains, great for all ages. Surrounded by the mountains of Evans Notch, Cold River Camp is within striking distance of The Presidentials and the Saco and Androscoggin Rivers. A week of adventure, friendship and celebration of nature awaits you at Cold River Camp.

 

Charming rustic cabins offer single, double and family occupancy. Kerosene lamps, wood stoves or fireplaces, and lovely views make each cabin unique and welcoming.

A historic central lodge with living and dining rooms, recreation hall, library and tea house.

Delicious homestyle meals served family style at breakfast and dinner, and a trail lunch daily.

Indoor bathroom facilities with hot showers or baths.

Linens provided during the summer season.

Appalachian Mountain Club trained and certified Trip Leaders offer led adventures of various levels each day at Cold River Camp. Leaders are trained in Wilderness First Aid, CPR and group leadership. Whether you are an experienced hiker, or new to the outdoors, leaders are there to support you in discovery of all Evans Notch and its surroundings have to offer. Group hiking is a community tradition at CRC, the joy of being in the outdoors together is at the heart of what our camp experience is about.

 

One and two miles hikes out of camp are perfect for young children, and hikers of all ages.

Our beloved Baldface Circle Trail, a 9.8 mile gauntlet, and Thursday tradition, boasts miles of open ledges, ridgeline and breathtaking views down to camp.

Paddling trips to the wide, calm Saco or the more exciting Androscoggin offer fun on the water for young and old.
